Cade's comments on having a cold....

Cade has a cold. You would think it is the end of the world. This child has had tubes in his ears...twice, his adenoids taken out, and surgery to remove 4 infections in his neck. He was a trooper for all of those surgeries. But a cold...YIKES!!! He is in his room moaning as I type this.
This is what he has said tonight about having a cold.....
my nose feels funny, my throat hurts, i am talking funny, i need medicine, ouch, my nose is dripping, i'm hot, i'm sick, there are germs in my throat and my nose, i want daddy, lay with me please mommy, (which I was doing, but I can only handle the sound of him sucking in snot for so long!) He will not try and blow his nose with a tissue. There were more comments, I just can't remember them all.
In our prayers tonight he said he wanted his cold to go away. We also said a prayer that Jace wouldn't catch it from him. :) Amen to that!

The Second Day of Preschool

Well I skipped taking pictures of the first day of preschool because Cade was not a happy camper that morning. Brandon was out of town and Cade could care less about going to school, he just wanted daddy to come home. I dropped Cade off and he was crying for Brandon so I knew he was fine with the school, just missing his daddy. When I picked him up, he was playing on the playground happy as can be! Jace was in heaven as well. I wanted to cry because I was so happy to see both of them so happy! Seeing those smiles and hearing them laugh makes the drive worth it 3 times a week. I really love this preschool!

When I picked Cade up from school his teacher said that he cried for a little and then stopped crying and said...."I like this school." :)

Here are some pictures of the great day!

Brunch at T-Cooks....Mario Kart and Monster Trucks. :)

On Sunday we went to Brunch at T-Cooks at The Royal Palms for my mom's Birthday. Cade enjoyed playing Mario Kart before we left. :) Jace loved the gourmet chocolate desserts they had at Brunch. And we all know Cade can't go anywhere without a monster truck. It was a fun morning. :)

New Pictures of the Pool

Well the pool is really coming along. All we have left are the pavers throughout the backyard, the interior of the pool and the tile for the pool. Brandon said it should be done around the end of next week! We are also fencing off the side of the house and they will be coming out to measure that tomorrow.

Here are some new pictures of the slide, our fence (our entire patio is fenced off) , and the double door handles on the back door. I have to say that I installed the top handle myself. :) So now you have to open both handles at the same time to open the door. I did it when Cade and Jace were taking a nap. Cade woke up and immediately noticed it. He went and tried to open the door and it wouldn't open. He looked at me and said...."I guess I can't go outside unless you or daddy open the dor for me, huh?" Yep!! Now I hope Jace understands that too. :) We also bought a door alarm to put on the door so a VERY loud alarm will sound if Cade or Jace get the door open.

First Day of Preschool...Or Not....

Well Cade and Jace were supposed to start Preschool at their new school last Monday. I was soooo excited to only have a 5 minute drive to Preschool...rather than a 35 minute drive...each way.

Well to make a long story short, I went to go and drop them off and found out that they bumped Jace out of his spot and wanted to put him in a class that started 30 minutes later than Cade. This meant Cade would go from 8:15-11:15, and Jace would go from 8:45-11:45. Ummmm....no! What was I supposed to do with the 30 minutes before and after?? I was about to start balling my eyes out because I was so upset...but I managed to keep it together until I got to my car. :) Well I dropped them both off and I knew I had some serious thinking to do on what I was going to do.

I called Brandon and he said to try and call their old Preschool and see what options they had. The only reason we weren't going back to their old Preschool was because I was going to have to drive there 5 days a week because they would be going on opposite days. Well I called their old Preschool and they made an age exception for Jace, so now they will both go the same days and times...3 days a week. (Different classes) So when I went to pick Cade and Jace up from their preschool I told them they would not be back. Of course then they offered to give Jace his spot back so we would stay....NOPE!!!

Now I have never been a religious person, but I definitely think someone up above was looking after me and made this all fall into place. :) This will be our 4th year going to the same Preschool and I am so excited!! Cade and Jace are excited too because they LOVE that school! The drive stinks...but thank godness we have a DVD Player in the car. :) Bad Mommy...I know. :)

They start in 2 weeks, so I will post pics then of their REAL first day of Preschool. :)

The Slide is Coming!!!

They have been working on the slide for our pool and the "natural" looking rocks that will go around the pool/spa. It is amazing how much detail and hard work goes into everything for this pool!

They should be back today to work on it.

I have to admit that I am getting excited for that slide...and the entire pool to be done. :)

Concrete is Done in the Pool

The concrete is done in the pool now. It is really starting to look like a pool! I think the waterfall and slide are next on the list. The pool fence guy came out last week to measure for the fence. We are going to fence off our entire patio so the kids can't go farther than that. That should be installed in the next couple of weeks.

Brandon installed swim jets for me in the pool. It is 2 jets that shoot out a lot of water and I swim in place against the water. I miss my days of swimming and being in such great shape...so maybe that will get me back in shape. :) I figure I can do that during the boys naptime....or when they are at preschool.

We are all super excited for the pool to be done!

My Babies are Growing Up :(

This weekend I have been going through Cade and Jace's clothes to see what they have outgrown and I can donate. I don't know why it is hitting me so hard, but it is just breaking my heart at how fast they are growing. Jace has outgrown EVERYTHING from last Fall/Winter. He can now fit in most of Cade's clothes from last year. That makes me sooooo sad!
Cade and Jace start preschool tomorrow!!!! I can't believe that my baby is going to preschool without me!!!!!!! I also can't believe that Cade only has 1 more year of preschool and then he will be in Kindergarten!!! I honestly thought I would be so excited to get a couple of hours to myself 3 days a week. But now I think I just want to come home and cry tomorrow after I drop them off. :(
To top things off...Jace is potty-trained!! No more diapers in this house. Who knew I would be sad about that??? I have been changing diapers for over 4 years straight...a big chunk of that time with 2 in diapers! You would think I would be jumping for joy!!!!
I guess I just need to realize that they can't stay little forever.... :(
